Each year brings with it a couple of new faces to Bollywood. Some of them become stars overnight and some vanish without a trace. Here's a look at this year's new comers.

Shruti Hassan: The daughter of Kamal Hassan and Sarika - made her Bollywood debut with 'Luck' opposite Imran Khan. The movie, though, did not turn out to be lucky for Shruti. But it has not deterred this talented young girl. She is not just an actor and she has set the background music for 'Unnai Pol Oruvan'.
Barbara Mori: This Latin sensation is the much-talked about co-star of Hrithik Roshan in his next movie 'Kites'. Barbara Mori started her modeling career at the age of 14, when she was discovered by fashion designer Marcos Toledo and went on to play Azul in the series 'Azul Tequila' before landing the bollywood assignment.
Gisele Monterio: Remember 'Harleen Kaur' in 'Love Aaj Kal'? To think that she was not a proper 'Punjabi girl' is difficult. But the fact remains, this pretty Brazilian model who could not dance or speak in Hindi sent many a hearts a flutter with her role.
Jackky Bhagnani :The son of renowned producer Vaashu Bhagnani is the new entrant in the Indian film industry as an actor. With his cute and charming looks added with his acting abilities, he has everything in the looks department going his way to be a star. We saw him in 'Kal Kissne Dekha' but will he make it to the top? We wait.
Jacqueline Fernandez: Acting is her passion and that brought her from her native Sri Lanka to Bollywood. She set the screen on fire with her role in 'Aladin' along with Amitabh Bachchan.
Mona Singh: This 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin' girl, Mona Singh, is no stranger to the media. She is all set to rock the big screen now with '3 Idiots'. Will she make it big on the silverscreen too? We wait.

Vaishali Desai: She is perhaps the latest to walk off the ramp and set her goals high at Bollywood. This bubbly beauty has looks to kill and a smile playing on her eyes. She played the cherubic spoilt brat in her debut movie opposite Jackky Bhagnani in 'Kal Kissne Dekha'. She has her eyes fixed on a bright future.

Top 5 Bollywood families

Bollywood is one big family, no? But there are actually many families within this huge family, who all specialize in their own fields. Here’s a look at the top five.

5. Bachchan Family: Easily one of the most powerful families in the industry, the Bachchans are known for their glam quotient and acting talent. ‘Paa B’ is yet to be conquered in terms of performances, and Abhishek too, has established himself pretty well. Jaya Bachchan is a well known MP and has been a top actress of her time. And of course, there is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who adds oodles of style to this family.

4. Deol Family: This family from Punjab too, is known for its power in the industry, quite literally too! Dharmendra is an iconic actor, most famous for his ‘blood sucking dialogues’ and son Sunny, for his ear shattering dialogue delivery and ‘dhai kilo ka haath’. Though Bobby couldn’t make it as big, he still holds is own. And then there is Hema Malini, and her daughter, Esha, who is now struggling with her career.

BR’s younger brother Yash is the owner of Yashraj Films, producers of many a blockbusters. His son Aditya has taken over the mantle. The second brother Vinod Chopra, founded Vinod Chopra films, which is now run by his son Vidhu Vinod Chopra, producers of the Munnabhai series. They have been producing stars for over three generations from showman Raj, to his brothers Shashi and Rishi to their sons and daughters now. Kareena is the current queen of Bollywood, and Ranbir is set to become the biggest star in the next few years. They also rule the theatre, with the Prithvi Theatre being a much sought after venue for serious actors. Prithvi is handled by Sanjana Kapoor, who’s the daughter of Shashi Kapoor.

If we are to go by Elesh Parujanwala's status message on a social networking website. Elesh is really happy that it has happend. 'Tonite is gonna be a good nite..tonite's gonna be a GOOD GOOD nite!! =)' writes the Canadian businessman. Just a few days ago, his status read, 'The dreaded episode is coming...Friday December 4th @ 10:30pm..the chapter finally closes!' While Elesh insists that it is indeed a dreaded episode, he adds that he would still like to watch it - only to close the chapter.'

When asked whether he would like to arrange a swayamvar for himself, he says, 'No, I wouldn't. That's for her (Rakhi). I don't want to make money or gain publicity by organising a swayamvar for myself.' A source told us, 'Rakhi might be organising swayamwar very soon.' When we called up Rakhi to confirm the news, she said, 'I haven't thought about it, but even if I do, isme harz hi kya hai? (What's the harm?). It is my life after all!'

Talking about their break up, the spicy Sawant added, 'Elesh ne mujhse khud kaha hai ki wo sirf mujhe jaanne aaya tha, shaadi karne nahi aaya tha. (Elesh confessed that he took part in the swayamvar only to know me as a person and not to marry me.) Usne mujhe kaha ki wo kisi London ki ladki se shaadi karna chahta tha. (He told me that he wanted to marry a girl from London).

He had expected that he would be voted out in a few episodes but he stayed on and we got engaged. Shaadi toot jaati isse to acha hi hua ki engagement toot gayi. Thank God main bach gayi. (I'm glad that we called it quits now than after marriage. Thank God! I'm safe). 'Koi Indian ladka hota to mujhe kiss bhi nahi karta. Main uske kareeb gayi but acha hua ki maine apni limit nahi cross ki. (Had he been an Indian guy he would have never kissed me. I was quite close to him but I'm glad that I didn't cross my limits),' confesses Rakhi. 'Main kya karti? Thappad maarti to media phir us baat ko badha chadha kar batati. (What could I have done? Had I slapped him, the media would have exaggerated it.)' Well, all we can say is - all is well if it ends well and if it doesn't, it may be time for another swayamvar!
