The reality show 'Bigg Boss 3' hosted by Amitabh Bachchan is again in news for wrong reasons. The Information and Broadcasting ministry has sent a show cause notice to the producers of the show.

The government's action came after promotional clips of an yet-to-be-telecast episode were flashed across several news channels. In the clip, Bollywood actresses Shamita Shetty and Tanaaz Currim pulled down comedian Raju Srivastav's shorts.

The I&B ministry notice states that the content is obscene and it has offended the sensibilities of many viewers who watch the prime time show with their families.
It also added that obscene visuals were provided to the news channels by the producer for wider publicity, violating Section 5 of the Network Act which states that no programme which offends good taste and decency or contains anything obscene can be transmitted/re-transmitted on any cable service.
The producers have been asked to reply within five days failing which government will take strict action against them. Colors which airs the programme, has said they have ensured that the programme is in compliance with the Network Act.
